Wheel Flaps

Those wheel flaps on the rear of your truck may seem like a very minor
item in your maintenance program, but they are important.  All are for
the express purpose of preventing rocks, water and debris being thrown
from a truck's rear tires against a following car.

Wheel flaps offer direct advantages to the truck owner-driver.  They
can help reduce the buildup of road grime and mud under the truck
body.  And, good-looking flaps with the company's name or symbol on
them can provide effective and free advertising.

So, the next time you give your rig an inspection, take a couple of
minutes to check the condition of the rear wheel flaps.  Look for
broken brackets, cracks and excessive wear and replace them if
necessary.  It could pay off in more ways than one.
