As a general rule, the strength in the used truck market will always
directly parallel the demand for and availability of new trucks. When
there is a tight situation in new trucks you will find a scarcity in
used trucks as well.
The situation is also reflected in price. A used tractor in good
condition isn't going to last long on a used truck lot, and it's going
to bring a premium price.
So like anything else - it is all supply vs. demand. It is always
best to keep tabs on the market so that you are ready to move when the
buyer becomes king of the hill.
